So it should still be possible to use TWAIN drivers, though you may have to jump through some hoops with the compatibility mode as jinjuku suggests.

Yep, my research led me to that very same.PPT. The.NET framework has no native TWAIN support. Logitech may be confusing.Net lack of support to Vista OS. I doubt Logitech is writing in any.NET language.

So Logitech has been IMO a bit premature to remove TWAIN support. So my hurdle that I had to clear with Logitech was one of their making by yanking TWAIN.

TWAIN is also used for testing (and getting better colour scans) on mid to highend scanners e.g. Ricoh IS760D $5k US. Thankfully everyone uses ISIS for real work.
