20 November Hello, Civilization fans! If you booted up Civilization V or Civilization VI today, you may have noticed that both now include new and improved launchers.
These launchers are in a new update that should automatically download when you start your Steam client; please restart Steam to trigger the download if you are having issues. This new launcher keeps the same core functionality of the older launcher: You can easily choose your DirectX version and quickly jump into the game, but we’ve also added sections to keep you up to date on the latest Civilization news, content and special offers. We want you to have the best experience possible with our games and it is our hope that these new launchers better connect you to the Civilization community. Stay civilized!
