Hey gang, I have a 2007 Mac Pro, running 10.7. (Yes, upgrading soon) and a MacBook Pro 2011 running 10.8. I just gave the USB keyboard I use on the Mac Pro a cleaning - spraying light cleaner only on the paper towels. Afterward, the keys started failing one by one. Then the whole thing went dead - although the mouse connected to it was fine. I tried it on one of the USB ports on the Mac, and the whole computer screen went black.

So I plugged it into a hub port, and by moving the mouse around I was able to get the Mac display on. Then I decided to see if it would work on my MacBook Pro. It didn't at first, but after 10 minutes or so it did - works fine. But it still doesn't work oon the Mac Pro.

I have tried it in USB ports on the monitor, hub, and Mac, both with and without an extension cable (and I plugged my iphone into each port too to make sure there wasn't a short in them) But still nothing.
