Never played the multiplayer, but the single player campaigns are excellent. There's one for each race (Colonial marines, Xenomorphs, Predators), which all converge around a central plot. The Alien campaign includes the entire life cycle (First mission you're a facehugger sneaking around, second you're a chestburster sneaking around looking for food, and the rest you're a fully grown xenomorph, wrecking shit). Predator campaign gives you a bunch of fun gadgets and weapons to play around with, and the Colonial Marines campaign is good for occasionally shitting your pants and having good times. Oh man, brings back glorious memories of playing 'zombies' on the honour system around that time, original Halo on Xlink network. Maybe inspired by this mode. No shields, no tracker, and zombies could only melee.

When you were killed you changed teams until one guy was holding off the horde of 'zombies', then he got to start as the first zombie for the next round. Always thrilling. There was a channel dedicated to the mode and it worked because everyone followed the rules, despite it not being a 'real' game mode. Probably more hours into Zombies than any other mode except classic Slayer. I miss Xlink, it actually had a real community that Xbox Live never really achieved.
